Macon Pops Christmas Spectacular!

Kick off the holiday season with Macon Pops at our annual Macon Pops Christmas Spectacular on Friday, November 27 at 6PM in the heart of Downtown Macon!

Experience the magic as the Macon Pops orchestra performs LIVE, perfectly synchronized to more than one million dazzling lights during the opening night of the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza, presented by Northway Church. It’s a one-of-a-kind holiday tradition that’s completely FREE and guaranteed to fill you with the joy, wonder, and spirit of the season.

Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket, gather your family and friends, and join us at the corner of First & Poplar Streets for an unforgettable evening of festive music and spectacular lights. After the concert, explore Downtown Macon and experience the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza, where a different light show (synchronized to signature Macon Pops holiday music!) plays on the hour, bringing you even more holiday magic to enjoy as you shop, dine, and celebrate the season.

Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza

The Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza returns nightly from November 27, 2026 through January 4, 2027, transforming Downtown Macon into a dazzling holiday destination. Synchronized light shows begin at 6PM, 7PM, 8PM, and 9PM, with each hour featuring a unique one-hour performance.

Both the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza and the opening night Macon Pops Christmas Spectacular concert are completely FREE and open to everyone.

A breathtaking canopy of more than one million twinkling lights stretches across five city blocks, dancing in perfect synchronization with music arranged, produced, and recorded by Macon Pops. What has become one of Middle Georgia’s most beloved holiday traditions draws families and visitors from across the region to experience the magic together.

Featuring more than 40 original holiday arrangements, each synchronized show showcases custom orchestrations by our own GRAMMY Award-winning arranger Matt Catingub, alongside performances by talented Macon artists. Because each hourly performance features a different playlist, no two shows are exactly alike; stay for one show or experience all four to hear the complete soundtrack of the season!
