In an effort to further music education, Macon Pops launched “For the Love of Music,” a community-based initiative focused on providing exposure and engagement with the musical organizations in our local schools. Elementary, Middle, High School, and College students are invited to attend a Macon Pops rehearsal, talk to musicians, learn about the music business, production of musical concerts, and how a non-profit operates. As a bonus, these students attend the concert for free.
We are also offering workshops and masterclasses by having our musicians work with the music programs and students directly at their schools. This is a way to keep Macon Pops connected to the community between our concerts and inspire our young musicians and enhance our music education programs.
